I am not a bacon lover. I can take it or leave it. BUT, you guys, this brown sugar bacon is a breakfast wonder, BLT maker, and possibly life changer! (Okay, that last one is a bit far.) But, this is by far my favorite way to cook bacon. Not only does it taste a bazillion times better than regular bacon, but when you bake it in the oven, there is no leftover greasy kitchen smell or mess to clean up. You just throw the foil away you cooked it on and move on with your life…. your “I am now a bacon lover, don’t touch my BLT sandwich” life. I hope you enjoy this as much as my family does!
Brown Sugar Bacon
6 pieces of thick-cut bacon
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 – 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 Degrees. Line a jelly roll pan or edged cookie sheet with aluminum foil covering the edges.
Spread out brown sugar on a plate and sprinkle on black pepper. Press the bacon onto the sugar until each side is moderately coated. Place each strip in a single later on the foil-lined jelly roll pan or edged cookie sheet.
Place in oven and bake for 12 minutes or until desired doneness. (There is no need to flip the bacon.)
Bring out of oven and place on parchment paper on a plate. Dab off any unwanted excess grease with a paper towel and serve! Yep. It’s that easy. Enjoy!
