On Easter, there were empty church pews all across America. But, statistics are showing that more people than ever are tuning in to online worship services all over the country. Even though the churches appear empty, more than ever – it’s on the move.

And for those of us who know Jesus, this is the time for us to be on the move as well!

After Jesus rose from the dead, He went and visited His disciples who were hiding in a room. They felt safe there. They were hiding from people who didn’t believe Jesus was the Son of God. When Jesus came to visit, he comforted them. He taught them. And then he said, “Go.”

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28 :19-20

What a time for us to be reaching others outside of the church walls! What a time for us to “Go!”

Throughout the country, we are being brought together by a common thread of adversity. In some ways, we feel more connected than ever, we have “more time” than ever; perhaps this is the time we give the most effort ever to reach others for Christ.

Now is the time to “Go” outside of our comfortable church walls and show people the love of Jesus. Invite friends and neighbors to your online churches, send books in the mail, text songs that you love, send letters of encouragement, pray with friends over the phone, love your family members, take food and supplies to those in need.

There are so many opportunities right now to talk to people about Jesus. Let’s keep the church on the move, so when we return to normal, there are no seats left in the buildings.
