There will be a lot of us visiting churches over the holidays. Maybe you don’t usually go and you want to set the tradition for your kids, or maybe you will be visiting somewhere different with family over the holidays.
Our natural instinct will be to question, “How did you like it? Did you like the music? Did you like the building? What about the talk?”
I remember my grandparents’ old country church. The service was different than what I was used to but those chords from my childhood still connect my heart to my God.
When we begin to search for Him, God can show Himself anywhere. When we drop the labels and the critiques, we may find ourselves to be more alike than different.
This year, let’s ask our God to show us Himself no matter what building we find ourselves in. Let’s look for Him and encourage our kids to do the same.
Bought for a price and loved as His own, let’s define ourselves as His no matter where we are. So if the service seems a little bit different, remember Who you are seeking to know, and your God can show you Himself anywhere.
